Your flavorful evening begins with pickup at your hotel or another nearby designated meeting point at 3:30 pm. Meet your driver and guide, and travel in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle with a small group of no more than eight people to ensure an intimate atmosphere.
Visit two family-run wineries for a lesson in local viticulture surrounded by gorgeous island scenery. Learn about the history of each estate and how Santorini's climate and volcanic soil create unique growing conditions and flavor characteristics. Spend about 30 minutes at each winery, capped off with a sampling of red and white Greek varietals.
As afternoon turns into evening, make your way to a local restaurant for a taste of traditional Greek hospitality and cuisine. Savor a 3-course meze dinner of specialties like Santorinian salad, tzatziki sauce, eggplant spread, pita chips, and nibbles of grilled meats, served with more wine. (Vegetarian options are available with advance notice.) After an hour or so of dining among your new friends, relax on the return ride to your hotel, where the 5-hour tour concludes.
