Why take this tour?

Go on an outdoor adventure between ancient history and unspoiled nature. Walk on an ancient medieval mule track and cross picturesque paths in a circular route. Cross the north-western section of the park between clearings that recall the great North American valleys, fields of wild flowers, centuries-old woods, and breathtaking views over the Gulf of Castellammare. Reach the summit of Mount Jato, about 800 meters above sea level and take a dip in the Greek-Roman past of the island. Visit the archaeological area of the ancient citadel of Jates, hear the story of its mysterious origins and see up close the best preserved ruins such as the theater, the temple of Aphrodite, the agora, the phoenix temple and the ancient walls of the tenements . Descend via an old mule track carved into the rock known as the "Iron Staircase". A scenic path between two high rock walls, hidden from the view of the Valley and ends the walk returning to the starting point.
