Meet your driver at your Siem Reap hotel, then ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to Angkor Archaeological Site. Purchase an admission ticket before continuing to Banteay Srei, often called the “Citadel of Women.” Here, you’ll see a series of three central towers carved from pink sandstone that have remarkable craftsmanship and detail.

Next, continue back to the main part of Angkor Archaeological Site, pausing in the village of Preah Dak along the way to browse handicrafts made by locals. After a break for lunch (own expense), head to Eastern Mebon, a temple built in the heart of the Eastern Baray, once an artificial lake. The final temple stops of the day are Prasat Neak Pean and Preah Khan, each fascinating sites located off the main Angkor traveler circuit.
