Make your own way to meet your private guide in front of the main entrance of the Vatican City on Viale Vaticano.
Start your tour by crossing the Pigna Courtyard and heading to the Pio Cristiano Museum. In the Galleries of Tapestries and Geographic Maps, view an important display of Renaissance maps, then see the Raphael Rooms, commissioned by Pope Julius II in the early 1500s when the celebrated artist Raphael was young, and considered some of Raphael's greatest works.
Finally, continue into the Sistine Chapel where you examine Michelangelo's depiction of the Last Judgement on the altar wall, and the colorful frescoes on the ceilings.
Your tour ends after three hours at the starting point near the main entrance.
