Visit the Palmetum of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a 12-hectare botanical garden that specializes in palm trees. At Palmetum’s gardens bloom the best and most varied range of palms throughout Europe and world’s subtropical islands. Here you will find roughly 2,000 different sorts of tropical and subtropical plants from all over the world. Thus, the most abundant species is the palm, whose technical name is Arecacea or Palmae, with more than 400 different sorts distributed along the garden according to its geographical origin.
