The starting point of this beautiful ski tour is a cable car on Italian side of Kanin (Sella Nevea), which takes us to the Gilberti hut (altitude 1850m). Use of the ski lift let us to do a ski tour even with small amount of snow, and allow us to start a tour with coffee at Gilberti hut.
From the hut we ski down a short descent into the valley, which ends at the saddle Bela peč. After we climb the valley to the place where the slope begins to climb steeply to the saddle. At that point, we turn south to the ridge northeast of our destination. Follow the ridge in the west direction until a shorter steep ascent which after 50m leads us to the saddle.
Although the view to the south is closed by the ridge of Vrsic, the view to the north is all the more stunning.
There are several variants available for the descent, the best will be chosen on spot, dictated by the current weather and snow situation. From the Gilberti hut we descend down the ski slope.
