Lepi vršič, better known as Cima Bella, lies above the Channel Valley, on the border between Italy and Austria. It is a beautiful, rounded peak that provides easy access and offers excellent skiing terrain. From the top it gives us a fantastic view.
Our ascent begins at the resourante from where we head along the side road in north direction - a direction of the summit. The ascent starts through the forest, occasionally interrupted by meadows, full of picturesque hayfields. After a good hour, we reach a wide saddle at an altitude of 1814m between Kovk (Monte Cocco) on the left and the Lepi vršič on the right. From there, after a wide ridge, we head more directly to the Lepi vršič. At the top we have a beautiful view of the western Julian Alps. After a rest at the top, we descend into the valley along the path of ascent.
