Full description

Venture into the heart of Iceland’s drama and beauty on the Private Silver Circle: Into the Glacier & Krauma — The Full Day. Board a monster truck to ascend Langjökull glacier, where ice tunnels and magical chambers await your exploration. With an expert YFIR guide, witness the surreal blue heart of the glacier before swapping icy wonders for a soak in pure relaxation: Krauma’s geothermal baths, fed directly by Europe’s mightiest hot spring. Along the way, discover iconic sights like Hraunfossar, and Barnafoss waterfalls. Private transportation, entry fees, and top-tier guiding ensure a seamless, extraordinary day from Reykjavik—perfect for those who want Iceland at its spellbinding best.

This is the best version of a Silver Circle day that exists. You go inside Langjökull — ice tunnels, chambers, the cold weight of a glacier above you. Monster trucks take you up. Specialist guides walk you through it. An hour of blue ice. Then you come down, drive 40 minutes to Deildartunguhver, and end the day in geothermal pools fed by the world's most powerful natural hot spring. The contrast is not accidental. Moving from the cold interior of a glacier to the warmth of geothermal water in the same afternoon is one of the more distinctly Icelandic experiences available anywhere. Your guide explains both — the glaciology on the way up, the geothermal geology at the spring. Krauma gives you the experience itself: six heated pools, cold plunge, steam room, views. The route covers Deildartunguhver, Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, and Húsafell village before the glacier. Reykholt is dropped on this itinerary to maintain pace; the full stop there is available on the base Silver Circle tour. The day runs 08:00–19:30. Swimwear and a warm layer for the glacier are both required. Crampons and helmet provided on-site. Krauma entry pre-booked.

My wife, adult daughter and I booked this tour with “Your Friend in Reykjavik” through Viator the during the afternoon we arrived in Iceland. Our tour guide, Cristin, was excellent. She met the group at the designated meeting location ahead of schedule. She was very friendly and informative about everything Reykjavik. Iceland is a fascinating place with so much history, and she did a great job of bringing it to life. We would definitely recommend this tour and guide to anyone new to the city.

Ester E was our guide today on our Iceland Women walking tour and the group LOVED her and the tour. We enjoyed hanging out for conversation after the walking portion as well. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Ester E!

The local food tour was amazing. We had a goupt of 9 of us and a few others along. Our guide Palli was very informative, helpful, attentive, and so much fun to have lead us through Reykjavik. A great was to kick off our vacation. The food stops were all great. Lots of fish and lamb and stews and sweets.
