Why take this tour?

Embark on an underwater experience like no other: Snorkeling between tectonic plates at the Silfra Fissure. The Silfra Fissure is located in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site 45 minutes from Reykjavík. Silfra boasts fascinating geological formations and brilliant shades of blue - it is frequently ranked as one of the top dive sites in the world. The glacial water originates from Langjökull (Long Glacier) and is naturally filtered through lava fields, resulting in some of the purest water on Earth, with incredible visibility up to 150 meters. Snorkel between the North American & Eurasian tectonic plates, separating 2 cm a year! The glacial water remains around 2°C year round - it may be warmer than the winter air.
