No matter whether you picked the half-day option or the full-day option, this sightseeing adventure starts the same way for both groups. Get picked up from your hotel in the Denver area, and relax on a ride over to the Rocky Mountains.
Arrive at Front Range, and visit different lookout points in the area for beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, forests, and alpine tundra as your guide tells you a little about Colorado’s history.
The half-day tour has all the same options as the full-day tour. The only difference is the time you have to spend at each location. The cool thing about either option is that you can customize your itinerary to ensure you only go to the spots you want. Drinks and snacks are included with both tour options. If you've opted for the full-day tour, you'll have the option to break for lunch (own expense), otherwise you can bring your own box lunch with you.
Some of the main highlights you can choose from are visiting a gold mine and old mining town, going shopping in the small historic cowboy town of Golden, and making your way to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, the world’s largest natural outdoor amphitheater. You can also listen to more historical facts at Lookout Mountain’s Nature Center and Buffalo Bill’s Grave, or drive to the top of a 14,000-foot (4,267-meter) mountain, weather permitting.
After your tour ends, it's back to your hotel you go. Your guide drops you off the same way he or she picked you up.
