Siem Reap Countryside Jeep Tour

Highlights

  • Great way to experience Cambodia beyond tourist sites

  • Travel by vintage American army Jeep—great photo ops

  • Includes hotel transportation, lunch, and snacks for a hassle-free day

Summary

After meeting your driver at your Siem Reap hotel, board a classic Jeep for the trip into the countryside. When you reach the quiet dirt roads beyond the city limits, continue on bicycle, setting a leisurely pace over the flat route and stopping by a local fish market. Pause for a cool drink before continuing by Jeep to Kompong Khleang, a floating village that’s built on slender stilts. Hop a boat into Kompong Khleang, eat lunch in a stilt house, and cruise to an island to visit a monk school and pagoda that are isolated from mainland life. In the afternoon, visit another floating village, one that actually rests on the surface of the water and moves from place to place with the season. Your tour concludes with return transportation to Siem Reap.
