Side Paragliding Adventure with Hotel Pickup

During all the taxi rides, which came to pick us up at each hotel, many of us finally refused to continue the adventure. We therefore refused to jump and to pay all the additional fees that were requested of us upon our arrival. Do you want to know what those fees were? Paying for admission, yes, I was aware of that. On the other hand, I had never been informed that it was also necessary to pay for training as well as equipment rental. Then, they asked us to pay for the photos and videos. And here, we are talking about astronomical sums for simply a video and a few photos. I insist on a particularly serious point: at this stage, there is no longer really any doubt about the deceptive nature of this practice. On-site, it is forbidden for anyone to have an action camera, that is to say a camera attached to the chest using a mount or any other device, officially for safety reasons. On the other hand, they use a camera attached to a pole and claim that it would be safer than a camera attached to the chest. I find that completely ridiculous. In reality, I mostly had the feeling that the goal was to prevent us from filming ourselves in order to force us to buy their photos and videos. And that is when I understood that the situation was particularly problematic: after several minutes of discussion, one of the people present on-site informed me that, if I wished to use my own camera, I had to pay fees equivalent to the price of their photos and videos. They called this "risk-taking fees." I am sorry, but this is unheard of. Asking someone to pay for the right to record with their own camera, I find that simply mind-blowing. To this, one must add the €75 already paid on Viator. If you do the math, the activity therefore ends up costing us nearly €250 for only 15 minutes of activity, because yes, the activity is extremely short. And I am not even talking about the extremely aggressive and threatening behavior of some people in the organization. They were furious that several of us had refused to continue the activity and to pay the additional fees that were being requested of us. I therefore decided, like many of us, to stay at the entrance of the venue. Actually, it was more of a small shop that looked like a travel agency. After several very tense minutes, in an extremely stressful climate I find this experience particularly serious and I want these practices to be taken seriously. I felt like I had been trapped, having me come and telling me once I arrived, you have to pay its its its its huh what lol

Departure: You’re picked up in a modern a/c minivan. The venue is about 1 hour 10 minutes from Old Side Town in Alanaya (along the coastline heading eastward). Arrival at office: Once you arrive you are briefed by the manager regarding parasailing techniques. NO SITTING! Just walk or run. This is an extreme sport so this was very important. Everyone has to pay €20 for the takeoff entrance fee. Also no phones, watches or anything is allowed! You are given a locker in which to place your valuables. If you want to take photos/videos on your phone forget it! Also they don’t want you to know the flying time so they ask you to remove your watch too. The only thing you can take is your sunglasses which I highly recommend. Parasailing takeoff point: Got in another van and we were told which pilot was assigned to us. We then headed to the take off point. This was about 20 minutes from the office, on top of a hill. Once there we had to carry some of the heavy gear up the flight of stairs to the takeoff area. Parasailing flight You’re strapped in by your pilot and you have to hold the GoPro stick whilst he lifts the chute. You start running and within a few metres your airborne. He asked me to sit back into the seat so you have to shuffle yourself backwards to sit into it. The pilot makes some turns and using the winds you ascend where it’s quite windy. The pilot makes several smooth turns before heading towards the shoreline. Here’s where things get interesting. He asked if I wanted to try “extreme” so I said sure. He told me to lift my left leg and banked hard to the left. You start spiralling downwards with immense speed. You’re definitely pulling a few G-Forces. He did the same on the right side and the ground started to get closer and closer. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED YOUR SUNGLASSES. the extreme forces would cause your eyes to tear a lot. Landing The landing area is right behind the beach. It has astroturf surrounding it. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SIT! Stay upright at all times. Once you touchdown the other members grab the chute. During this time you may be jolted so you need to stay on your feet. The pilot then collected the chute and packed it into the rucksack and I had to carry it back to the awaiting van. Back at the office the photos are uploaded to a computer and each participant is called out individually to see the photos / videos. Photos only: €50 Video only: €70 Video & Photos: €100 Note the Video also included 360 degree video. I had €30 to my name and the manager said this gets me nothing! So I said I’ll take the photos only and pay the €30 I had and and further €20 back at the hotel which he agreed to. Conclusion A great experience if you love heights and flight. A bucket-list event you can tick off your list. The media options, if you choose to purchase is on the pricey side though.

Paid for the extra entrance to be conned again to have to pay again. Was greeted by a manager who was extremely rude and had an attitude! Pick up was late, resulting in the trip overrunning and missing our meal at our hotel so we had to buy food. The flight was supposed to be at least 15 minutes we were told BUT we only got 5 minutes! You can't buy individual pictures which then cost £80! Because the wid dropped it also nearly resulted in the pilots wanting to risk our lives, so no refund given! Aweful and scammed experience’

The experience was amazing, and the view was lovely. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience. I had some issues receiving the video I purchased, but all I had to do was send them an email. Within 24 hours, they resolved the issue, and I received my video. They were very helpful and professional throughout. I have only good things to say about this experience and people working there.
