Side Dolphin Island Boat Trip

Terrible, very A lot of noise, poor quality

Overall, the boat tour was a nice experience and we enjoyed it. The pickup basically worked well, even if we were picked up a bit later than planned. After about 1.5 hours of travel, there was the first stop in a beautiful bay where you could swim. Afterward, we continued to the dolphin island, where we stayed for just under two hours. Lunch was also served on board there. Unfortunately, we were not lucky and did not see any dolphins, but that is naturally part of such a tour. 🐬 The view and the time on the sea were especially nice. There were free drinks down on the deck, but they were served in very small cups, so you felt like you had enough of them pretty quickly. Additional drinks could be purchased on board, but these were comparatively expensive. A real highlight for us, however, was the opportunity to go jet skiing very cheaply at one of the stops. 10 minutes cost €35 and 15 minutes cost €40. Compared to the prices at the hotel beaches, that is really cheap and was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend that if you have the opportunity! 🏄‍♀️ A small point of criticism: On the upper deck, the lounge areas were completely in the sun. Unfortunately, you could not really lie down in the shade, but actually only sit. Especially during the long trip, an option to lie in the shade would have been nice. Furthermore, the pure travel time was a bit too long for me personally, although that naturally also depends on the chosen route. All in all, it was a nice tour that we enjoyed taking, and we had a lovely day on the water.

So, if you want a boring tour with a greedy tour guide on board, you have come to the right place. 1. The tour starts in the Manavgat River, which is quite beautiful if it were not so heavily obscured in places. Shortly before exiting, a few underage children advertise jet skiing with strange "tricks." I will come back to this later, however. 2. After you get out of the river delta, there is the first stop at an unspectacular place in front of some hotel. 20 minutes to jump into the water and swim, a good cool-down, but it is not enough for anything more. Then you spend hours going along the coast again, and you are only forced to buy things. Photos, overpriced ice cream, and drinks that you only have to pay for later, and a tally sheet is kept. There is no information about prices. 3. Throughout the entire tour, you are told that it is never guaranteed to see dolphins or turtles, which I find completely normal and understandable, but people are told some lies about how a huge school of them was seen the day before yesterday just to keep everyone in a good mood. 4. Arriving at "Dolphin Island," it is a rocky island that sticks out of the water in front of a few luxury hotels. 20 m of shore. Anyone who expects to be alone with the boat here is mistaken. There are at least 5 other boats on site. You could go swimming, you just had to be careful that no jet ski or parasailing boat ran over your head. You can go snorkeling, however, the spot is completely forgettable. I don't want to list everything in great detail, just inform the people who think they have to book this tour that the drinks and all other things are completely overpriced (beer €7, ice cream €4,..). It feels like a rip-off and you don't want that on vacation. Advertising for jet skiing and then being able to make the stop there directly later. Pushing it on the children that you can take pictures of them in order to sell them later at an inflated price. So we found it really intense how persistently things were forced on you here. In the end, I was even insulted in Turkish because I brought up the scam with the drinks. I definitely learned from this. So, no recommendation from my side. Look for another operator, and I also cannot explain how the good reviews here came about.

It was a decent experience. Great atmosphere provided by the crew. The dance party with the foam definitely was rhe highlight of the trip ! Didn't see any dolphins unfortunately so it's just a hit or miss. However, had a lovely time, good food even for picky eaters and overall worth spending the day there.

the boat is super clean and the ships crew where great. the food they served was so much better than i expected for the price it cost for 6 of us it was only 120quid for the full day. Take snorkels with you as there is an island you go to and there is loads of fish to see. be aware of the jetsking they offer at the end of the day its a bit dodgy. we went to hire them for 20 mins was just about to get on then the river police turned up and the jetski boss darted off on the jet skis with his sons but luckily came back and refunded us as the police was still there. but in all fairness the value for money was amazing and it was one of the best bits of my holiday.
