Shore excursion: Russian Family Dinner with Locals at a St. Petersburg Home

Begin your authentic St. Petersburg experience by meeting your guide outside the cruise port at 7pm. Climb into a comfortable tour vehicle and take off for a sightseeing drive through the city, including some of the local neighborhoods. See some of the famous Soviet-era buildings, constructed as temporary housing but still in use today. Cruise through the wealthiest areas of the city, where glitz and glamour are on display, on the way to a typical neighborhood. Through your guide's commentary, learn about the different socioeconomic classes in St. Petersburg and the struggles that average Russian citizens face. Arrive at a local family's home around 8pm, where you will sit down for a traditional dinner. The family will fill you in on their lifestyle, as well as Russian traditions and culture.  Say your goodbyes and head back to the cruise port for drop-off around 10:30pm.
