Why take this tour?

This tour is one of the most popular countryside tours. Sergiev Posad is a city part of the Golden Ring cluster of ancient towns, most well-known for the 14th-century Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, a monastery complex (UNESCO). The Monastery is an astonishing piece of architecture and incredible blue and gold ‘onion’ style domes. One can literally spend hours walking around, marvelling at the museum, gasping at the art and the sights. Your tour will include pick up and drop off at your hotel with private transport to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoying the Russian countryside and open spaces along the way. The entire complex includes a number of churches, Bell Tower, seminary and many more. Whether you know Russian history or not, you will be in awe of the sights and the stories, the scale and the beauty. You will also be in awe of all the pilgrims who have travelled from around the world to come to this spiritual sight, to drink the water and to touch the relics of the saint.
