DMZ (Korean Demilitarized Zone) is a place where tensions between North Korea and South Korea more palpable than in the no-man's-land. As a country divided into 2 regions, the area of 2.5 miles (4 km) separates North Korea from South Korea on this place. The 150-mile (241 km) regional zone is a cease-fire agreement which has been in force since 1953 between PBB and North Korea.
