Scenic French Broad Whitewater Paddle

This is one of the best sections of the French Broad river to paddle if you want a scenic and exciting trip just outside of the heartbeat of downtown Asheville. We will paddle several exciting but safe class 2 rapids as we float through the breathtaking Southern Appalachian Mountains of the Asheville valley. We will conclude with an adventure around Alexander Island, likely the most unique island on the river. The French Broad is one of the oldest rivers in the world and has endless history hidden in its sandy banks. Each trip is kept to a limited number of guests and led by an experienced guide. All of our guides are Asheville residents and can provide a unique perspective about our city. This tranquil afternoon on the river will be the highlight of your trip!
