You’ll visit a rotating lineup of 4 to 5 pubs and bars—ranging from centuries-old taverns and inns to underground hideaways—where spirits of every kind are known to linger. Hear tales of trapdoors beneath barstools, ghostly soldiers searching for their limbs, and lovers who just couldn’t let go. Some spirits are friendly—like the playful ghost Thaddeus who leaves pennies behind. Others… not so much.
Along the way, you’ll learn how tunnels beneath the city were used to traffic enslaved people, Shanghai unsuspecting sailors, and hide the sick and dying. You'll explore stories of fires, murder, mystery, and mischief—including a fireplace stuffed with bones and a desk that wouldn’t stop sliding away from a wall… until a body was found behind it.
