You'll wind through iconic San Francisco neighborhoods, stopping at three hand-picked ice cream parlors for 2 to 4 tastings at each spot. The idea is to leave room for more discoveries without making you feel overwhelmed.
Oh, and did we mention the Jeep can accommodate up to 6 guests? It's the ideal set-up for a group of four adults and two teens or children. The third-row seating is particularly great for teenagers. So, call up your squad and prepare for a tour that’s just as fun as it sounds.
The flavors on offer are nothing short of extraordinary. Picture this: you're savoring a scoop of Honey Lavender, and next up is Pear and Blue Cheese. Your palate could take a wild journey through Mexican Chocolate, Ube Snow, and Matcha, or find solace in classics like Banana Salted Caramel and Sicilian Pistachio Gelato. Whether you're into the familiar or feeling adventurous, there's a flavor to tickle everyone’s fancy.
As for the places you'll visit, the tour boasts a list of some of the city's finest ice cream creators. From the famed Salt & Straw in the Fillmore District to Garden Creamery in the Mission, each spot has a unique story and is a must-try according to both local and national critics. Depending on the day and availability, the tour will either cover The Mission and Potrero Hill districts or The Fillmore and Lower Haight Districts. Sorry, folks, you can't mix and match the routes; these scrumptious locations are scattered in different parts of the city.
So where does this delightful journey kick off? The rendezvous point is Umbrella Alley in the western end of Fisherman’s Wharf. After a quick introduction, you'll be off on your tasty escapade.
If you're the type who likes to get more out of their tour, you're in luck. You can add an additional 30 minutes or an hour to your adventure for some sightseeing. Moreover, the tour offers hotel pick-up and drop-off in selected areas like Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, Nob Hill, the Financial District, and SOMA. Talk about convenience!
Now, a word to the wise about dietary restrictions. The tour aims to give you a taste of new and exciting flavors, so it's not the place for picky eaters. Because the ice cream is ordered in advance to avoid long wait times, individual taste adjustments aren't possible. Also, the treats may contain nuts and dairy, and there’s no gluten-free option. So, if you have specific dietary needs, it's better to know that this may not be the tour for you.
In summary, the San Francisco Ice Cream Tasting Tour is more than just a food tour; it's an unforgettable experience that blends the thrill of exploration with the sheer joy of indulging in some of the best ice creams San Francisco has to offer. It's 2.5 hours of pure, unadulterated happiness. Trust us, you won’t want to miss out on this one.

Will I Get Enough Ice Cream?
Absolutely! Our tasting sizes are designed for epic flavor exploration. No full-sized cones or cups here. Get ready for wild, unconventional, mind-blowing flavors. Vanilla and chocolate fans, watch out - this tour is for the daring!
Can We Choose the Ice Cream Stops?
Nope, that's our job! We've scoured the city, tasted it all, and met some quirky characters along the way. Trust us, we're the experts you've been looking for!
Can We Sneak in Some San Francisco Sightseeing?
You bet! We're not just about ice cream; we're your tour guides to the city's hidden gems. Fancy a Golden Gate Bridge spin or a wild ride down Lombard Street (the curviest one!)? Add an extra 30 minutes or a full hour for a small upgrade fee. Get those cameras ready for some epic sightseeing!
What About Dietary Restrictions?
Sorry, lactose-intolerant friends, this tour is a dairy lover's paradise. About 75-85% of our treats are dairy-packed delights, and there might be nuts, bacon, and other non-dairy goodies too. Unfortunately, we don't have many vegetarian or gluten-free options. We order ice cream in advance to keep things smooth, so accommodating dietary restrictions can throw us off track.
Can We Mix and Match the Routes?
Sorry, no mix-and-match magic here! Our route depends on the day and the operating hours of our chosen ice cream havens. But hey, that means more sweet surprises for you!
Do We Get an Itinerary or Tasting List in Advance?
Nah, we like to keep it suspenseful! The tasting choices and stops are all part of the adventure. If you're curious, though, you can check out our example flavors and the top-notch ice cream shops we visit for a sneak peek.
When Should We Book? Do You Accept Last-Minute Bookings?
We recommend booking at least a week in advance for the best options. Last-minute bookings might limit your choices for shops and tastings, so don't wait too long to book your ice cream extravaganza!
Is Gratuity Included?
Nope, gratuity isn't included. In the world of tourism, it's customary to tip around 15%-20%, which comes to about $20.00 to $25.00 per guest. It's a sweet way to show your appreciation!
Are There Any Extra Charges?
Nope, our pricing already includes everything except gratuity. No sneaky "booking fees" or hidden costs here. We like to keep things as sweet and straightforward as possible.
Can I Get a Refund or Reschedule My Ticket?
Bookings are refundable if you let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Within that 24-hour window, there are no refunds, and rescheduling isn't an option. We have to pre-order and prepay for all those delicious tastings, and being a small company, last-minute cancellations are impossible to fill. So, please be sure before you book!
How Many People Can We Fit in the Jeep?
Our Jeeps can comfortably seat 6 people, plus your awesome driver/guide. We recommend 4 adults in the Jeep and 2 older children/teens in the third-row seating. Sorry, but no infants under age 3 are allowed. we don't have a setup for rear-facing car seats. For the little ones, don't forget to bring or request the required car seat(s). The third row is perfect for older kids (10 and up) and teens. Just keep in mind it's a bit breezier back there and not set up for booster or child seats.
Where Do We Start the Fun?
Meet up at our Fisherman’s Wharf spot: 757 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA 94109. It's right near Ghirardelli Square and the Buena Vista Cafe. We kick off and wrap up the adventure at Umbrella Alley. But if you want the fancy hotel pickup experience (with an extra fee), we've got you covered!
Can We Get Picked Up or Dropped Off at Our Hotel?
Yes, we do hotel pickups in certain areas like Fisherman's Wharf or hotels in Union Square, Nob Hill, the Financial District, or SOMA. (Additional fee applies.)
