The subject matter of this tour is heavy but it's so worth it. Barry did a wonderful job of sharing the sad events that took place here and their relation to the Irish independence movement even though this area is part of the UK. It helped to understand the historical context going all the way back to the Plantation of Ulster. He also gave a sense of what life is like in Derry now. This is a beautiful city with so much history. The tour was well organized to cover a lot of stops but not feel too rushed. I highly recommend adding on the Grianan of Aileach extension; the views are simply breathtaking and it was a soothing way to end the day after absorbing so much difficult history.

We had a great day with Barry in Derry. Our cruise ship cut our port time down but he found a way to include every thing we really wanted to see. The highlight is the museum of Free Derry and the important story behind the struggle for civil rights.

Barry was a wonderful, enthusiastic, and very informative guide. We went to Derry and learned so much about the history of Ireland, it was fascinating. Barry filled us in on hundreds of years of history. I was concerned my 22 years old daughter would lose interest but Barry kept us all fully engaged. We also went into Donegal and to Grianan of Aileach, it was all beautiful. We would book time with Barry and Paula upon a return visit.

Barry made our day trip from Belfast to Derry a wonderful experience. He communicated before the trip and arrived early to pick us up. En route, he provided background information about what we were going to see and learn in Derry. The tour of Derry began with the Bloody Sunday Museum and included several important monuments and sights. We enjoyed lunch at the oldest pub in Derry and made a quick stop in Donegal to catch a beautiful view. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Absolutely fantastic day with Barry, he was a wonderful, informative guide who catered for our family of all ages with excellent suggestions on the day and for other days in Belfast. He was really interesting and helpful, and a lovely guy. Would definitely recommend, we saw everything we wanted to and more, his driving was faultless, his knowledge limitless!
