Good to know
- It's recommended to arrive in Cusco at least 2 days before the trek to adjust to the altitude.
- Spots at Machu Picchu sell out quickly. Book this trip at least five months in advance to secure spaces.
- Passport name, number, expiry and country is required at time of booking for all participants
- Please ensure your passport is up to date and ready for use on your travel day
- Children aged 12 and over may participate and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
- Solo travelers are welcome and can join shared groups. No minimum participants required. Most departures are guaranteed.

Snow storm was perfect :)
My husband Bill and I had such a great experience on this 5 day 4 night trek. Our guides (Julio Cesar Choque and Danger) really helped make the entire experience as comfortable and seamless as possible. I honestly believe we had the best experience we could have with the guides and group we were with! The trek itself was challenging at times as we traversed different climates; we hiked over Salkantay pass through a snow storm and found ourselves in the warm, humid jungle the same day! There were several groups on the same trek along the way, but for the most part, our group kept together, splitting in half for those who wanted to go a little faster, and those who wanted to enjoy the sights more. There was always one guide at the front of the group, and one at the back, and if anyone stopped for picture or to rest, the last guide stayed to wait for them. I think we paid a fair price for everything.

Our two tours guides Julio Cesar Choque and Danger were very efficient Danger was so cheerful and always smiling, even helping on things I didn’t expect from a guide Speaking about Julio: his experience and knowledge on the tour makes a good difference The trek is challenging but that’s what I like Thought:; the only downside is that in a trek in Peru rain is expected in high mountains but there was no fireplace to dry your clothes and the dome have no heat Furthermore, at the price we paid there was no milk at all! This is cheap (sorry the comments …)
Great Trek!
We did the trek with Julio Cesar Choque and Danger and had a great experience. They accompanied us the whole trip with explanations and interesting facts about the Inkas and Quechua. They made sure we had the best experience and the best views at every step. Very satisfied
