The Church of San Luis de los Franceses, was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1731 and dedicated to San Luis Rey de Francia (first cousin of Fernando III), was made by Leonardo de Figueroa. The monumental ensemble amazes those who enter the temple for the first time, a hidden baroque gem.
The Church with its main altarpiece dedicated to Saint Louis King of France, its auxiliary altarpieces, its Solomonic columns, its impressive dome and Vault, attracts attention for its circular plan in the shape of a Greek Cross.
The Domestic Chapel, the most unknown, has remained, after its restoration, with an impressive image in its entirety: ceilings, vaults, walls, sacristy, etc.
