Most day trips to Pompeii from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
Our all-inclusive tour by high-speed train will have you traveling with the utmost comfort, quality, and convenience. We'll reach Naples in one hour, and from there — in just 35 minutes by private coach —  we arrive at the ancient ruins of Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79. 

Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths, and even brothels remain! A representative holding an ItaliaTours sign will be waiting to check you in in front of Caffe Vergnano inside Termini Station on the departures level. Enter the main terminal from any of the multiple entrances and make your way to the shopping area facing track #1.

    You will receive a final confirmation including your PDF rail tickets by email the day before your tour. This confirmation is NOT your rail ticket.

    No refunds will be granted for failure to arrive at the meeting point on time. Trains depart promptly at the scheduled time. Please note that public transport throughout Italy can be unreliable. Allow plenty of time to get from your accommodation to the meeting point, or contact us to arrange for a private transfer.     In the event of significant delays (1 hour or more) on the Rome to Naples rail segment, we will consider postponing the return journey if necessary in order to cover the entire itinerary, and reversing the order of tour and lunch. Kindly note this very remote possibility when making evening plans in Rome.

    Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult to join a tour or an activity.
