Join us on a private experience deep inside Rome's infamous "Castel Sant'Angelo" originally built as a tomb and not a castle by the great emperor Hadrian, this awe-inspiring cylindrical mausoleum held the ashes of Hadrian and the Roman emperors that followed in his footsteps until becoming a fortress in AD 401. In the 14th century, it became a Papal residence with a fortified corridor between the castle and St. Peter’s Basilica. Today, it’s home to the Castel Sant'Angelo National Museum and its collection of art, archaeological finds, and weaponry. Another highlight is the large terrace, where Puccini's heroine jumped to her death in his opera Tosca, and it has a truly fantastic view over the Eternal City centre of Rome. The tour reservations have strict timing. To join the tour you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.
If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per "No Show" rules you will not be entitled to a refund.

Cancellations, changes or issues due to weather, security and events held by the monument are beyond our control and are directly decided by their administration team. These issues will be reviewed by us and dealt with on an individual basis but are the responsibility of the monument.

Please be aware that large bags/backpacks/suitcases are not permitted in the monument/ attraction. Only very small bags are allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the monument.
