Cachiccata (“hillside of salt” in Quechua) is a natural viewpoint of the Apu or snowy of Wakey Willka. Here we will observe the most famous quarries of the Inca era that become one of the best attractions. Also from this point you can see the Paqaritampu pyramid, the imposing snow-capped mountains and the Apu de la Verónica mountain or Wakey Willka (“sacred mountain that cries”).
In times of winter solstice in June, from the quarries it is possible to see the position and sunrise with spectacular shadow projections towards the pyramid.
