The GUIDE makes the difference
Starting with the pick-up from the hotel, we were the 2nd to the last stop. At the last stop there were not enough seats and a lady had to stand up from her pick up to the 1st stop. The guide was not paying attention and preceded on with a very hazardous ride. Then the guide was conducting the tour in what was supposed to be in both English and Portuguese. I barely heard anything because the mic was not set properly and what we could hear was in Portuguese. Then we arrived at Christ the Redemeer, we got off the bus with no real instructions from the guide. We did not know who was in our group and hoped we were following the right people. Standing in line and waiting for the train to take us up the mountain, again basically on our own. I asked the guide how he kept track of his group and his response was "years of experience." His years of experience did not translate to the group because we were asking each other what to do next. I again asked him about what he had said about a stop we were at because I could not understand what he was saying. He told me I could understand him and if I were not talking while he was talking. Excuse me? I was about to snap but another guest walked up and stated "No, we cannot understand you. The mic is muffled and no one can understand you in the back." At that point he decided my point was valid. We were all pretty frustrated by this point. He then decided to check the mic in the bus and asked us to let him know if we still couldn't hear him. He adjusted his attitude and tried to become more responsive to the group. I've done MANY excursions while on vacay and this by far was the worse! We opted not to return to our hotel on the bus after the last stop. The best part of the excursion was meeting the other guests on the tour and making it fun for us. I think the planned tour would've been great if we had a different guide. We had friends to the exact tour the next day and had a completely different experience.

Great Trip to Explore Rio
Emma was an outstanding guide in Rio. She was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely to spend time with. Our entire group enjoyed the tour and felt well taken care of throughout the day. She made our time in Rio even more memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Thank you, Emma, for such a wonderful experience!
Fun with clouds
Allesondro was our guide. He was knowledgeable and kept a larhe group on task. He had a couple group members that didn't follow directions but he still handled it with grave. The sights were amazing and lunch at the steakhouse was great! The weather was a bit cloudy for good pictures but that is not in control of tour group.

Letícia Sampaio was such a cool tour guide. Super chill and she laughed at Al of my dad jokes. I’ve never been on a tour that every single person went out of their way to tip her.
