Riding Holiday in the countryside of North Iceland - Home at Hestasport - 5 Days

Welcome to Skagafjörður, the birthplace of the Icelandic Horse! On this special riding holiday you can explore this magical region on four separate riding tours adjusted to your needs and experience levels and meet the sturdy horse of the Vikings! On the first day, you will enjoy a short, one hour ride to test your abilities. On the second day, we go for a three hour ride to the glacier river delta of Héradsvötn, riding past the waterfall Reykjafoss. On day three and four, we will be setting out on full day rides, only returning to the stables late afternoon. This riding tour is self-catering, you will have to bring your own packed lunch for the longer rides and prepare your own meals in your cottage in the evenings. You will be accommodated in one of our high standard, wooden cottages for the 4 nights of the ride. All guests have access to a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen in their house. In the middle of the cottage area, you will find a large stone-built hot pot where you can relax after a long day in the saddle. This riding holiday is suitable for all ages and experience levels.
