Richelieu Rock offers the best of Thailand's diving experiences. It is famous for encounters with manta rays and whalesharks, but should be famous for the macrolife. Seahorses, ghost pipefish and all kinds of shrimp are usually found here.
On the way to the divesite by speedboat or catamaran drinks will be served, followed by the first dive of the day. We can see everything here, lovely hard coral, colourful soft corals, big barracuda, sharks, big schools of snappers, octopus, cuttlefish, batfish, excellent macro life and who knows what passes by.
After that dive time to relax while the boat slowly drifts, and eat and drink something. Take into account that Richelieu Rock is situated completely in the open, so it can be a bit rocky
After lunch is the second dive of the day, followed by the way back to Khao Lak. During this time plenty of time to fill out the logbook, drink something and enjoy the fresh fruits available.
Both dives are done with a maximum of 4 divers per guide/instructor, normally as drift dives.
A lovely day for experienced divers only.
