In May - June it's blooming time for the rhododendron flowers in the alpine pastures from the Carpathians.
Witness the wonderful pink scenery in Leaota mountains on this day trip & hike from Brasov.
You will be picked up from your location in Brasov and after a 1 hour drive you will arrive in Moieciu de Sus. You will then start your hike up to the Bucsa peak. A good fitness level is required and adequate hiking shoes and clothes. After about 2 hours and 30 minutes you will arrive at the Bucsa peak, at an altitude of 1846 meters. Here, if the weather is favorable, you will see endless slopes covered with pink rhododendrons and fantastic mountain views. Bring a camera, the scenery is just stunning.
After a break, you will return to Moieciu de Sus and after another 1 hour drive you will be dropped off at your hotel in Brasov.
Important note: We cannot guarantee that during your trip you will see rhododendrons. Their blooming season depends on weather conditions.
