You must ask for Jakob - AMAZING
I cannot give this a high enough review. This was the first thing we did within hours of arriving in Reykjavik. Jakob was the most amazing tour guide. Funny, informational, down to earth, he had us laughing the whole time but I also learned so much about Iceland and it's history in three hours. Every one in our group thoroughly enjoyed our tour. it was a wonderful start to our vacation.
Guide didn’t adjust to weather
City tour was so-so. The primary issue was the weather and the fact our guide, Thor didn’t adjust. Four (4) of us left during the tour because we didn’t want to stand in open fields during downpours listening to him. Our guide, Thor continued his storytelling while we were all getting soaked as if it was a sunny day. If he just stopped under some cover during the rain it would have been better and more accommodating for the group.
Nice city tour, we learned a lot
The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned about Rejkyavik and the icelandic culture. It would have been nice to also learn some more anecdotes
Sara made me fall in love with Iceland
They were so helpful and understanding when we asked to reschedule our tour at the last minute due to gastrointestinal issues upon arrival. Luckily, we recovered well enough to join the tour the next morning. Sara was an absolutely wonderful tour guide. I learned so much about Icelandic history, culture, and values from her! I immediately started texting my daughter that she should consider moving to Iceland given how well their values align with our personal ones. I felt bad that we had to break away from the group before our last stop to find a restroom. I would highly recommend this tour if you get a chance to go, especially if Sara is your guide!
Nice way to learn Downtown.
Thor was very good-nice way to see downtown on first morning after long flight. From starting point all downhill nice for older participants. Ended at Parliament Hotel.
