Your tour begins with early morning pickup from your Tamarindo-area beach along the Guanacaste Coast. A pit stop for coffee during the 2-hour drive up to Rincon de la Vieja Volcano energizes you before you start your hike.
Upon arrival, your guide leads you through the forest of Rincon de la Vieja, pointing out animals like monkeys, wild turkeys, toucans, and more as you hike. Learn first-hand about volcanic activity as you spot mud pots and fumaroles, as well.
Then, take a short walk to Oropendola Waterfall, an off-the-beaten-path attraction often skipped by visitors. Spend time swimming and admiring the falls before sitting down for lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, continue to the natural hot springs at Rio Negro. Relax in thermal waters and take a mud bath to wind down.
Tour concludes with hotel drop-off.
Please note: Walking shoes, comfortable clothes, swimsuit, towel, bug repellent, sunscreen, and change of clothes are recommended.
