Meet your kayaking guide and adventurous tour group in the evening in the Marina at the Mangrove Lagoon. After a short safety briefing and orientation to the area, hop on your 2-person, sit-on-top kayaks and launch into the lagoon. Lifejackets are provided for your safety. As the sun begins to sink toward the Caribbean horizon, paddle at a leisurely pace through the mangrove lagoon, a complex system of waterways defined by the hardy trees' roots. Listen to your guide's stories about the times when pirates inhabited these waters and some details from the sunny, tropical island's dark past. Allow your guide to paint a vivid picture of prickly characters such as Teach, Blackbeard, and Bluebeard.  Under the inky sky filled with stars and a shining moon, look for nocturnal marine life. Watch as stingrays leap out of the water and use the lights on your kayak to look for tarpon and schools of lagoon-dwelling fish. Pass the deserted Cas Cay and hear about the local legends regarding 'spirit hitchhikers'.  Your tour ends back at your departure point.
