We pick up passengers at their lodging. We leave Bariloche through Route 258, proceeding to Lake Steffen by-passing lakes Gutierrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo. Once at the Steffen, while the guides set up the rafting gear we change clothes, to wear the navigation ones. After a brief Put-in Safety Talk given by the head-guide and a coffee, we are ready to go down the Río Manso.
Surrounded by high peaks and exuberant forest, our raft is dragged by the stream while we watch the rich flora of the National Park: coihue, cypress, arrayan, maiten, radal, colihue cane, chilco, etc. We can also watch birds such as martin pescador, bandurria, avutarda and tero. The crystal clear waters of the Manso will allow us to watch different kinds of trout as well.
Alka Seltzer, Billiard Edge, Hippo Tooth, Roller Coaster and Magnetic Rock are some of the rapids we will run. In the summertime, the sun invites us to enjoy a plunge on the lukewarm backwaters. After merging with Rio Villegas we run the funniest rapids.
Arriving to the Lower Manso valley, the trip concludes.
Once we arrive to our private take out, Puerto Manso, we change clothing and enjoy an exquisite cold buffet. A long table with assorted fresh meals: vegetables, cold meat, breads, dressings, juices and something sweet, disposed in such a way that our guests can taste the meals of their choice.
Then we start our trip back to Bariloche, arriving around 7pm.
