Meet a driver at your hotel in Santiago for 8:30am departure, then leave the city for the foothills of the Andes Mountains.
The jumping-off point for your horseback ride is a mountain horse ranch, where you’ll be paired with a Chilean horse that's suited to your experience level—the Chilean horse has roots in Spain, and it’s bred for dexterity and courage in herding cattle.
Saddle up, then follow your guide on a trail that has panoramic views of the Chilean countryside, watching for the foothills’ distinctive plants and wildlife along the way. After 2.5-hours on horseback, make your way back to the trailhead for an open air picnic with a glass of of Chilean wine.
Following the picnic, this 5-hour excursion concludes with return transfer to Santiago, and drop-off at your hotel.
