The six main activities you will enjoy include:  1. Limon City Excursion  See the main sights on Puerto Limon, where Christopher Columbus landed in 1502. Still a large shipping port, the city now receives many cruise ships. Pass the city's old quarter with a combination of historical and buildings under renovation. View Parque Vargas, the market and more.  2. Rain Forest  Visit Cahuita National Park for a up-close encounter with nature. The park has flat and easy walking trails with abundant wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans and coatis. The trail is about 3/4 mile long and takes about 45 minutes at a slow pace. This is a great option for seniors, children or anyone who wants to take it easy. There is no mud or slippery paths. 3. Visit a Viewpoint of the city 4. Coastal Scenic Drive  See some beautiful scenery on the way to next stop.  5. Tortuguero Canal - river boat ride  The Tortuguero Canal area is known as the Amazon of Costa Rica because of its lush flora and fauna. Your naturalist guide will help you onboard a boat to cruise along the Costa Rica Tortuguero Canal that winds through the rain forest - watch for sloths, monkeys, tropical birds, iguanas, wild orchids and much more!
