Set out for a half day guided tour to experience the highlights of the Caribbean. Paddle over blue waters in a two person kayak and snorkel in a coral reef teeming with marine life, including schools of fish and sea turtles. A perfect trip for those who enjoy nature and an active day and to get away from the crowds. This small group tour has a maximum of four guests with your guide who has over 20 years experience (larger group tours available upon request).
Photos, lunch and all gear are included. No kayak or snorkel experience needed!
Your adventure starts with a kayak lesson from your Eco-guide.After learning techniques on the beach, your guide will coach you on the water. Paddle along the peninsula and enjoy the spectacular views of rock formations and an opportunity learn about the geologic past of St. Thomas. Your guide will tell you about the native wildlife and Caribbean culture during your breaks. Enjoy views of multiple islands and cays as you paddle over crystal clear, blue water over to an uninhabited cay (small island) off the coast of St. Thomas.
Kayaking is about 45 mins, including time for breaks and photos. Once you arrive on the beautiful shell beach of the cay, take an opportunity for photos and a snack. Next, you'll be provided with snorkel gear and a lesson. Your guide will wade out into the water to lead you over a colorful reef and a ship-wreck which lies below.
When you finish snorkeling, it is time to enjoy a provided picnic lunch. After your break, paddle to another bay to snorkel with sea turtles. At the end of the tour, a shuttle will bring everyone back to Lindbergh Beach. If you would like transportation, this must be pre-arranged with the tour provider (before your cruise or travel begins). Your pick up time is before the start of the tour and is based on your location. Please note, the cost of round trip transportation is $14 per person and is due in cash on the day of your tour
