Take a leisurely paddle boat to explore the water city of Leipzig and experience it on our guided canoe tours. The tour to Cospudener Lake takes you through the beautiful Leipzig floodplain to Leipzig Neuseenland. An experienced tour guide will always be there to help and advise you on different paddling techniques. The tour ends at Cospudener See. Distance: about 10 km
The tour starts in the city harbor Leipzig. We are located within walking distance of the city center and are the perfect starting point for exploration tours due to our central location in the Leipzig water system. Once you arrive, you will meet your guide and get a detailed introduction to paddle technology and safety aspects. From the city harbor we drive past the villa of the famous publisher family Baedeker and the imposing Palmgarten weir on the Elsterflutbett. Passing Leipzig's largest park, the Clara Zetkin Park, we drive to the racecourse in Scheibenholz. After the Leipzig corner we follow the Pleißeflutbett to the lock Connewitz. After being paddled by the Pleiße in the raft ditch, this leads us through untouched nature to the forest lake Lauer. With a bit of luck, a glimpse of the kingfisher can be found here. After the lock Cospuden we finally reach our destination: the Cospudener See.
