Meet your guide and small group in San Telmo and set out to explore the city by bike. Glide though the cobblestone lanes of Buenos Aires’ oldest ‘barrio’ (neighborhood), famous for its tango clubs and antiques market. Continue to waterfront La Boca and hop off to take photos of the brightly painted houses along Caminito Street and the legendary La Bombonera football stadium.
Next, visit the modern district of Puerto Madero and admire the chic bars and futuristic architecture along the banks of the Río de la Plata. Escape the busy city streets for a relaxing bike ride through the Costanera Ecological Reserve and stop to enjoy a typical Argentine lunch at a local parrilla (grill house).
After lunch, cycle through Retiro; stop to visit the magnificent Recoleta Cemetery, home to Evita’s grave; and refresh with some traditional Argentine mate (herbal tea). Continue through the lush parklands of the Palermo Woods, before looping back into the heart of downtown Buenos Aires, where you’ll see the Plaza de Mayo, the Palace of Congress, and the Casa Rosada.
