Why take this tour?

To reveal the hidden part of the Hetaoping Wolong Panda Base. These are the highlights: a.Red Panda Volunteer Program: The volunteers will clean and prepare the food for the red pandas. Red pandas eat mostly bamboo, apples and panda cakes. b.Learn about wildness survival training program for captive raised bred pandas : At Hetaoping, cubs are prepared for release largely without human contact. They are raised by their mothers in large bushy enclosures until independent, then moved together to larger isolated compounds. Their only interaction with humans is with the keepers who deliver bamboo daily, dressed in panda suits liberally soaked in panda urine to cover the human smell. Anyone visiting the center must wear the urine-soaked suits. Training to survive in the wild is left to the mothers.

About operator:

My Panda Tours is a travel company focused on pandas. We create the best travel experience to explore the beauty of panda country and beyond. We are a group of panda lovers. We are always excited to share our passion. Our team loves to share our personal stories and connections to particular pandas, and the tourists appreciate that unique approach rather than listening to textbook information. Some great stories are inspired by our online community. Also, we always ask our tourists to follow and share their stories through our social media channels to grow and add not only to My Panda Tours, but the collective panda community. We often update our feeds with news, along with hosting fun events for our followers. Recently, we threw a birthday party on Facebook Live for the American-born panda Tai Shan. The tourists enjoy our live feeds just as much as we love giving them. They appreciate seeing the pandas live, even after returning home. It always brings back their good memories.
