Enjoy an up-close experience with the largest herd of rare white Thoroughbreds in the world! 65 acres: 3 barns + breeding shed, 12 paddocks, nursery, broodmares, retired racehorses, & stallions. Discover all stages of a horse's life including their journey as a racehorse or Disney movie star! The farm is also home to rabbits, chickens and quails - a fun and interactive stop on the tour! Depending on the day, we may engage with various professionals in the Thoroughbred industry, as this is working Thoroughbred breeding farm. On site: restroom, ample parking, gift shop, half kitchen, picnics tables, & RV overnight stay (upon request) *Tour add-on (optional) Pegasus Picnic - Private picnic on a historic Kentucky horse farm. Located in the Horse Capital of the World, Megson Farms specializes in the unique breeding of rare white and multi-colored Thoroughbreds. The Jockey Club registered the first white Thoroughbred in 1963 and only a few hundred Thoroughbreds have been registered since. Megson Farms is home to the largest herd of white Thoroughbreds in the world. 40% of all tour fees goes toward feed, hay, vet care and racehorse retirement.
