From here the trek continues on to such legendary mountaineering sites like Namche Bazaar, where sipping special masala tea with Sherpa locals is commonplace. Another place of lore is Tengboche Monastery, where climbers ask for special permission to climb Mt Everest by taking part in ceremonies lead by the local Lama.  Passing through beautiful Sherpa villages like Dingboche and Lobuche allow travelers to see the daily life of these incredible people. At the base camp, the trekker is rewarded with stunning views of Mt. Everest (8848m) along with other peaks like Pumori (7161m), Lingtren (6749m), Khumbutse (6665m), Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Cho Oyo (8188m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). Another highlight of this trek is climbing the summit of Kala Patthar and watching the sunrise on the summit of Mt. Everest (8848m). All this and more is awaiting the ardent adventurer who is ready for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Description

The beautiful and gigantic mountains of the Himalayas are the backdrop for the Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek which offers gorgeous scenery of snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and rhododendron forests blended all blended with unique cultural experiences.

The Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek takes place in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sagarmatha National Park. The Nepali name for Mt Everest is Sagarmatha, and the fabled Khumbu Valley leads the way to the high alpine region where Everest Base Camp is situated. This amazing and distinct region is showcased during this trek, and the tour begins with an incredible flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This fabled airstrip is where the Everest show really starts, and during the climbing season large expeditions from all around the world can be seen unloading gear and creating large caravans of goods ready to be shuttled to basecamp.
