Rangitaiki River White Water Scenic Rafting from Rotorua
Highlights
-
Your scenic and relaxing river-rafting tour begins with hotel pickup in Rotorua. After a transfer to the rafting base and the Rangitaiki River, you’re provided with a life jacket and wetsuit along with booties and weather-dependent polar fleece top and spray jacket. You’ll receive a safety briefing before launching from the base of Aniwhenua Falls, a gorgeous cascade framed by sheer rock walls. If you’re feeling adventuresome, you can jump right into the river from a series of jump-off points at various heights. Or, simply make your way down the rocks to the river’s edge. Follow the paddling commands of your river guide as you wind your way down gently rolling Grade 2 rapids throughout the ride. With few rocks to avoid, it’s a great opportunity for families or those with less experience to relax amid New Zealand’s forested splendor. You’ll pass several more waterfalls and even have the opportunity to bathe under the veil of one spectacular cascade. If you’d like, you can take a turn at the helm before you’re rewarded with lunch and a hot shower. Your tour ends with return transport to your Rotorua hotel.
