Puerto Vallarta Night Photography Workshop

Experience the spirited nightlife Puerto Vallarta has to offer and capture the magic of the city in a one-of-a-kind Night Photography Workshop! Our Photography Workshops are a unique and fun experience for creative people. We are proud to host the only Night Photography Workshop in Puerto Vallarta with hands-on assignments such as shooting long exposures, learning creative techniques like painting with light, shooting the moon and star trails, camera-specific lessons, and more!

Visit iconic Puerto Vallarta sites like Zona Romántica and Los Muertos Beach at their most magical hour! We will shoot long exposures of the bustling city at dusk as well as Los Muertos Pier. You will learn how to create stunning seascapes and long exposure cityscapes using different camera settings and filters. We will also explore painting with light and create images with flashlights and, when available, shoot the fire-dancers on the beach. Depending on the scheduling of your course, you will either receive hands-on lessons on shooting the moon or you will practice the art of creating star trails.

After meeting at our location, (listed below) we will have a long exposure demonstration in which you will photograph the traffic of the Romantic Zone to capture motion trails of headlights. We will then walk a few blocks to Los Muertos Pier and apply the same long exposure techniques while shooting the pier. Depending on the date of the workshop you will then either participate in shooting the moon and moonlight photography, or star trails during a new moon. We will discuss both techniques regardless of which we practice. Lastly we will create some images using the technique ‘painting with light,’ in which we will use flash lights to paint and draw onto our images. If available we can shoot the fire dancers at the Blue Shrimp restaurant.
