Private Wine Trekking Tour Including Chilean Country Grill

Summary

Meet a driver at your Santiago hotel for morning departure, then travel to the village of Isla de Maipo for breakfast, and to go over the history and culture of the Naltahua Hills. You’ll dine on toast, cheese, and a traditional Isla de Maipo cake, with coffee or tea served alongside. Arrive at the trailhead in the Naltahua Hills, where you’ll set out on-foot for a four-hour walk through the pristine landscape. Watch for the Andean condor, the Chilean iguana, red fox, and the Valeria grumbler lizard as you walk, and enjoy views across the rolling terrain. Pause for lunch at a country-style grill for a hearty meal of Chilean salad, cheese, sausages, pork, beer, chicken, and cake, served by an open fire with reserve wine from Santa Ema, a winery in the Maipo Valley. The final stop of the day is at Miraflores Winery, an organic vineyard that uses natural cultivation to make a line of excellent-quality wines. Tour the vineyard and cellar, see some of the winery’s historic wine-making equipment, and taste their Cabernet Sauvignon Wine. This tour concludes with evening drop-off at your hotel.
