Why take this tour?

Together we will embark on a journey going back in time to discover the fascinating history of one of the greatest Medieval cities in Italy. We will follow the routes walked by ancient pilgrims, admire architectural jewels, such as the wonderful Duomo and the stunning shell-shaped Campo Square, we will visit St Dominic's Church talking about one of the greatest and most incredible women of Medieval Europe, St Catherine from Siena, and we will also get lost in a maze of hidden spots and lovely corners off the beaten track. Last but not least, we will unlock the secrets of Siena's most ancient tradition, the Palio horse race, and of its so-called Contradas (districts), which are the 17 beaten hearts of this proud, strong, and still very authentic beautiful city.

About operator:

Hi everyone, my name is Chiara and I work as tour guide in Siena and its area. I was born and raised under the Tuscan sun, and yet I'll never get used to the beauty of the hilly countryside, the towns, and the cities surrounding me. This is why I love this job so much, because it allows me to do the things I love the most, such as getting to know new people everyday and show them my beautiful Tuscany! As a matter of fact, my tours will make you discover Siena, the city of the Palio horse race, Pienza, the ideal city, Montepulciano, the Renaissance pearl, Montalcino, the town of the Brunello, and many many more. Together we'll embark on a journey to find out everything about the history, art, culture, traditions, and the food of this wonderful land. Get in touch with me for further information.
