Your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel and start your day the way that locals do - getting around the city by way of public transportation. First visit at Raffles Landing Site where Sir Stamford Raffles is believed to have first stepped ashore in 1819. Continue with a walk through the Colonial district on the banks of the Singapore River, the former Parliament House, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall. Next stop at The Merlion, with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, is an imaginary creative that represents Singapore’s beginnings. Take an MRT to the district of Chinatown. The area is lined with shop-houses home to teahouses, medicine shops, acupuncturists and calligraphers. In the heart of Chinatown, you will find the oldest Hindu Temple in Singapore. Take the MRT to Clarke Quay - a historical riverside quay in Singapore, located within the Singapore River Planning Area.
