After pickup from your central Dubai hotel, travel by air-conditioned minivan through the desert and craggy Hajar Mountains to the UAE’s east coast.
On route, enjoy the views and hear from your guide how this scenic shoreline attracts visitors who swap Dubai’s bustle for its peaceful harbor towns, old forts, and pristine beaches.
As you travel, let your guide know if there’s anything you want to see more of. Since your tour is private, your itinerary can be customized around you.
Arrive at the Masafi Friday Market, where you have time to browse. Despite its name, this bustling outdoor market is open seven days a week and offers rich pickings for visitors.
Then drive through the Hajar Mountains until Dibba, a picturesque port town, and stroll along the waterfront past fisherman gathering their catches. Then, follow the beautiful coastal roads to either a public beach or the Sandy Beach Hotel and Resort —just select your preference on the day. If you opt for the Sandy Beach hotel, pay the entrance fee and enjoy the sands, sea and swimming pool, together with a delicious included lunch buffet.
After your relaxation time, reconvene with your guide and continue to Badiyah, home to one of the UAE’s oldest mosques. Stop to visit the beautifully simple, mud-and-stone place of worship, admiring its low domes and wooden doors as you hear how it’s believed to date back to the 1400s.
Continue to the port town of Khor Fakkan to stroll along its garden-lined waterfront, and then drive through the village of Murbah to Fujairah.
Here, visit Fujairah Fort, a splendidly restored fort perched above old Fujairah. Admire its round and square towers as your guide explains how the fort was constructed in 1670, before being badly damaged by a British bombardment in the early 20th century.
The last stop is the stunning oasis of Bithnah before driving back to Dubai, where your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.
