Meet a driver/guide at your accommodations in Marrakech for a 9am departure, then make the 40-mile (65-km) trip to the Imlil Valley in a climate-controlled vehicle, following a winding road into the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.
On your way to the Imlil Valley, visit a group of Berber women to learn how they process the kernels of argan trees, producing golden, thick argan oil. The first stop in the Imlil Valley is the picturesque village of Asni, where you can tour a historic kasbah set high above the valley's lush, terraced farms. If you’re visiting on Saturday, explore the Berber market in the village, the perfect place to find unique souvenirs from the area.
Continue to the village of Imlil to join a local hiking guide for a 1-hour, 30-minute round-trip hike to Armed village, the final village on the way into the High Atlas. Following your hike, visit a family home for a Berber lunch of tajine, salad, and fresh fruit, with mineral water and Moroccan mint tea included.
This full-day Imlil Valley trip concludes with return transfer to your Marrakech hotel by roughly 5pm.
