This option has a stop at the Natural Park of Ribeira dos Caldeirões with beautiful waterfalls where there are several water mills. After the visit to the historic centre of the Vila de Nordeste, the tour continues to the Serra Tronqueira* that houses the largest forest footprint Laurissilva of São Miguel, this is the habitat of the bullfinch bird unique in the world and exclusive of this place, the visit then goes to the local Village where the first settlers disembarked, and then to the viewpoint of Salto do Cavalo, which provides a beautiful view of the vale da Povoação and its Lombas as well as the parish of Furnas and its lagoon, being possible to observe the north and south coast.
* This part is dependent on the atmospheric conditions and can be replaced by the visit to the viewpoints of the Arnel, Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada.
