Your private tour begins with hotel pickup at 8am, when you’ll board a vehicle destined for a local food market. Accompanied by your guide, you’ll browse stalls selling fresh, local produce and select ingredients to use in the forthcoming cookery class.
Under the guidance of a professional chef, you’ll create traditional Chinese dishes such as Kongpao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork, accompanied by noodles and dumplings. If you’re a vegetarian, inform your guide during the market shopping trip and the menu can be amended.
Then, following lunch, you’ll head to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, a UNESCO-listed archeological site home to life-sized stone figures designed to protect China’s first emperor in the afterlife.
Marvel at more than 8,000 figures, some of which date back to 210BC, before learning of their construction at the Terracotta Warriors Pottery Factory.
Your tour concludes with drop-off at your Xian hotel.
